Assemblée de rêves / THE LIGHT HOUSE PROJECT

In collaboration with Benoît Verjat and Maya Boquet

Since 2014, writer Lancelot Hamelin and actor Duncan Evennou, who are passionate about the relationships between fiction and reality, walk the streets of Nanterre to meet residents and workers and collect stories about their dreams or nightmares. During the 2017 presidential elections, along with Nanterre residents, spectators and a score of young researchers and artists, they amassed more than 2000 pages of dream-like interviews. Each witness was then introduced into the “circle of dreamers” and each interview was faithfully transcribed before being printed on paper scrolls to avoid any breaks. For Mondes Possibles, L’Assemblée de rêveurs” will hand over their dream-like accounts to the residents of Nanterre by exhibiting these paper strips.
