For his new theatre piece, the playwright, actor and director Vincent Macaigne chose to work on his play Friche 22.66 which he wrote when he was a student of the Conservatoire de Paris about twenty years ago. He builds this new creation as a fairy-tale or an epic drama, portraying a dream world in which angels meet kings, endangered communities and child-prophet. Starting out from this gothic, mythological and dreamlike landscape, Macaigne reformulates the spirit of his theatre: the observation of an era marked by the tension between the deliberate opposition to change and mounting frustration.
